Dandadan Season 3 is officially in the works. One of Shonen Jump's biggest hits in recent years will continue to air new episodes in the future, likely on streaming platforms Netflix (globally), Crunchyroll (excluding Asia) and Hulu.
Crunchyroll's summer 2025 anime lineup is coming to a close, but the anime adaptation of Shonen Jump's supernatural sci-fi hit will continue in the near future. Following the highly anticipated airing of Dandadan Season 2, Episode 12 (Episode 24, overall), the official social media account confirmed that a new season of Dandadan is currently in development. "Dandadan Season 3 is confirmed," the official X account wrote. "Thank you to all the fans for your support, and we hope you look forward to what's in store. Stay tuned for Dandadan Season 3!"
Dandadan Season 3 Confirmed: Shonen Jump's Supernatural Sci-Fi Hit Anime Continues
Based on the Shonen Jump manga of the same name, Dandadan, written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu, follows two teenagers as their weird obsessions with sci-fi and the supernatural clash in unimaginable ways. The bizarre journey bonds these polar opposites from loners into something far more. Science Saru, the anime studio behind Netflix's Devilman Crybaby (2018) and the upcoming reboot of The Ghost in the Shell (2026), is behind the adaptation of the hit Shonen Jump series.
GKIDS, the New York-based indie film distributor, initially released the first three episodes of Dandadan Season 2 in theaters as a special feature, Dandadan: Evil Eye, in June. This release strategy was similar to how GKIDS successfully introduced Dandadan Season 1 in 2024. Dandadan: First Encounter, released in U.S. theaters on Sept. 13, 2024, revealed how the abnormal lives of Momo Ayase and Ken "Okarun" Takakura became intertwined. The limited theatrical release overperformed, leading to an unexpected expansion of screenings that played all the way into late September. Similarly, Dandadan Season 1 was a massive streaming hit on Netflix, reaching 4.3 million views during its premiere week.
Following Dandadan's success, GKIDS has gone on to distribute another insanely popular Shonen Jump franchise: Jujutsu Kaisen. The upcoming compilation film and Season 3 teaser, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, will be released by GKIDS in the U.S. on Dec. 5, 2025.

Dandadan Seasons 1-2 are now available to stream on Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu. "When high schooler Momo, who comes from a family of spirit mediums and scoffs at aliens, meets occult-obsessed Okarun, who believes in extraterrestrials, their rivalry leads them to confront real paranormal threats," the series' official description reads. "Momo awakens her spiritual powers, while Okarun gains a cursed ability, forcing them to team up against yokai, UFOs, and otherworldly chaos."
New and previous chapters of the Dandadan manga can be read digitally on the Viz Media and Manga Plus apps. A release date for Dandadan Season 3 has yet to be announced.
