Genki Switch 2 Accessories: An In-Depth Review and Update (2025)

Genki's Switch 2 Accessories: Round Two Review

The highly anticipated Switch 2 accessories from Genki are here, but did they live up to the hype?

In our initial review of Genki's accessories during the Switch 2 launch, we had high hopes for their products. However, we encountered some issues. Cases designed for docking had problems, and a zipper malfunctioned. It seemed like Genki rushed production, and we later learned they might not have had a real Switch 2 to work with. But to their credit, they've swiftly addressed these concerns.

Online reports indicate that Genki has replaced faulty accessories, and the new versions are on their way. Our initial review items had these issues, but Genki provided us with the updated batch, and the news is good. Most problems have been resolved, and we'll keep our original review accessible, directing readers here for updates.

Additionally, we've included reviews of three new items we couldn't cover before.

Updated Products:

Genki Attack Vector:

The iconic Switch 2 case, praised in our initial review, offers a comfortable grip with versatile options. It features a MagSafe magnet for attaching a battery, though its practicality is debatable. The real concern was docking, which was problematic in the original version. But the new edition docks flawlessly, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a docking grip case.

Genki Sleeper Case:

The Sleeper Case is an attractive and protective case with a snug fit. The initial issue was the zipper, which got stuck behind the fabric flap. While not entirely perfect, the updated version is improved, ensuring you won't need tools to open it.

New Products:

Genki Dual Wield Charging Grips and Base:

Genki's charging grips stand out with a distinctive design and included dock. The Dual Wield excels in providing wrist relief, charging, and Joy-Con 2 separation. The magnetic attachment is convenient but not the strongest. The grips charge via USB-C and the dock is a sleek addition. The LED is subtle, and the release button is a nice touch. At $70 AUD, it's a reasonable package, but alternatives exist.

Genki Force Field 2+ Travel Cover:

This case and grip combo is impressive, allowing you to tilt the Joy-Con 2 grips backward for removal. It offers improved grip and a hidden Game Card storage. Like the Attack Vector, it works with the Kickstand and allows docking. The case provides excellent protection, except for a small gap on the front. The optional Travel Cover snaps onto the front, adding screen protection. The Force Field 2 is slim and can fit into other cases, making it a versatile choice.

Genki Energy Pack:

The Energy Pack is a unique battery pack with a 10,000mAh capacity and a 30W output. It can charge a Switch 2, iPhone via MagSafe, or USB-C devices. The compact design includes a display showing charging speed. However, it heats up, affecting charging speed. The aluminum casing and grippy texture are nice touches, but it attracts dust easily. The Energy Pack works with the Attack Vector case for wireless charging, but the added weight might be cumbersome.

The Energy Pack is well-designed but has heat-related drawbacks. It's a solid choice, but similar products are available at various price points. Genki's accessories are now available on their website, with all purchases featuring the updated models.

What's your take on Genki's Switch 2 accessories? Do you agree that they've improved, or do you have other favorites in the market? Share your thoughts in the comments!
